60/60 Run

Just six hardy soles did the run, Chris C - A Comet, Dave S - C Comet, Rod G - B Twin, Ian and James A - B Twin (Outfit) and John T - Suzuki V Twin.  Although it rained for most of the route I really enjoyed myself and I think the others did in the same bizarre way.  My Millets map measurer (purchased at a very reasonable £2.99) proved totally inaccurate as we had done approximately 68 miles at the coffee stop.  We were unable to have "just coffee" at our intended coffee stop so we floated on to the Red Lion at Hunningham at which point we decided to finish the run.   Ian.

Thanks to Ian for the words and photograph.

Here is some more from Chris.

A less inviting morning was hard to imagine but we were all pleased to  take part in the COVOC 60th Anniversary Run. The route was really good,  taking in Fillongley, Market Bosworth, Enderby, Sharnford, then down the  Fosse Way to Brinklow and onto Hunningham. After 95 miles and a rest  at the Red Lion, the A Comet retired with a broken clutch cable. They  are hard to swap on the pre war bikes, so Rod's hospitality was sought  whilst waiting for the family trailer.  Nevertheless, thanks to Ian for  arranging the run... we DID enjoy it ! Chris
