Afternoon Tea Run to Wroxall

John L lured us to this event with tales of cakes to die for.  A few of us rode in from Berkswell to Wren Hall, Wroxall joining early arrivals, Barry on his Scott and John and Judith with their BSA three-wheeler.  A little later a group of bikes arrived from the Warwickshire section VMCC so there was a good variety of machinery to look at. The tea and cakes were every bit as good as promised.  The portions were generous and the biggest problem was deciding what type of cake to choose from the well filled table.  I noticed later that one or two old hands had devised a cunning strategy for making the choice easier; they had more than one type of cake.  (I've noted that down for use in the future.  You can always learn by watching experienced operators.)
The sun shone so we ate and drank outside.  A little later Ian A and family arrived using pedal power and George and Janet rumbled in on their twin.
The company was good and the surroundings pleasant.  We had a fine, genial afternoon at Wren Hall.  No sunny Sunday is complete without an ice-cream so we rode to Jephson Gardens in Leamington Spa for a frozen dessert before heading home.
Eddy.

No pictures of cakes but how about this one of Mike M's grand daughter telephoning for a quote from Carol Nash.
