Lancaster Bomber Run

We rode up to Lincolnshire on Saturday to see them run up and taxi the Lancaster bomber at East Kirby.  We took a "B" road route most ably planned and navigated by Anne C.  The weather forecast said maybe showers of rain.  Amazingly we rode all the way in sunshine on wet to drying roads.  The rain was in front of us and we luckily didn't catch it up.  There were several bike groups meeting there.  Mostly "V" twins, 50 or so Buell's, 18 Vincent's, some Ducati's and Harley's.

The Lancaster was started up and taxied out onto the field.  The sight and sound of the Lancaster with the four Merlin engines being gunned was as magnificent as ever.
