Mikes Lunch Run - October 21st

Mike M  organised our October Lunch Run.  We gathered at Berkswell for a 10.30 am start.  There were six solo bikes and Gloria was helping to hold down the rear wheel on my Rapide.  Chris C was also on a Rapide and we also had Chris W on his new BMW parallel twin.  Dave S was Guzzi mounted, Mike was on his Suzuki and Mick Pegg was on his 750 Ducati.  Good to see Mick back on a bike and doing runs again after having his joint surgery.  The coffee stop was half an hour away at "Ye Olde Pounde Café" near Henley in Arden.  Don and Marion were already there having travelled by car.  Although Don isn't too mobile at the moment and isn't using his bike he is still actively taking part in lots of events.
We were riding on dry roads and as we travelled SW the weather got better and better.  Mike's route lead us through Bidford on Avon, Honeybourne and Broadway but avoided the centres and potential traffic problems.  The roads were interesting roads I certainly hadn't used many of them before.
At Gupshill Manor lunch stop John T was standing by his car waiting for us to arrive to make it a party of ten.  Mike generously bought us all a drink. ( Is this a ploy to get more people to take part? )
We needed to get back fairly quickly to let a dog out.  We had a sunny ride back using mostly the A46 for our return to Hinckley and it only took 75 minutes.  The dog was pleased to see us!
