Spares Company Open Day

I had a sunny if somewhat blustery ride over to Kettering to pick up a few spares and then spent an hour or three in good company looking at Vincent's and talking bikes.  The Coventry Section were well represented with, besides myself, Paul E, George and Janet S and Ian and  Cathy A along with their two boys.  Good to see Ian out and about again after his nose dive from a pedal cycle and the attendant surgery.
A fine selection of sandwiches had been provided for the gathering and Ian Savage took a break from a busy spares counter to wield a blade and cut a very fine commemorative cake.  Brian Chapman told me that he thought the cake had been made by Barbara Osbourne so well done Barbara.
The open day is a good social event so even if you don't need any spares it is worth putting on your ought to do list.

A fine and tasty cake.

Talking bikes and enjoying the sun.  Life is good.

John and Brian share a joke or are they hatching a scheme?
